Lorem Ipsum es simplemente el texto de relleno de las imprentas y archivos de texto. Lorem Ipsum ha sido el texto de relleno estándar de las industrias desde el año 1500, cuando un impresor (N. del T. persona que se dedica a la imprenta) desconocido usó una galería de textos y los mezcló de tal manera que logró hacer un libro de textos especimen.

No sólo sobrevivió 500 años, sino que tambien ingresó como texto de relleno en documentos electrónicos, quedando esencialmente igual al original. Fue popularizado en los 60s con la creación de las hojas «Letraset», las cuales contenian pasajes de Lorem Ipsum, y más recientemente con software de autoedición, como por ejemplo Aldus PageMaker, el cual incluye versiones de Lorem Ipsum.

She holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Biotechnology, a Master’s in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from the Stanford University Graduate School of Education, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences (Computer Science area) from PUC-Chile. Her work and research focus on developing processes for continuous curricular improvement in higher education in Latin America, using analytical tools centered on the needs of administrators, faculty, and students.

She is an Assistant Professor on the Special Faculty Track and Deputy Director of Assessment, Evaluation, and Quality at the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC-Chile), and an Associate Researcher at the Millennium Nucleus for Higher Education.

PhD. Sandro Paz Collado

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida.

He has served as Director of Evaluation and Accreditation of University Higher Education at Sineace. He is currently the Director of Academic Innovation in the Department of Engineering, Section Coordinator and Program Director of Industrial Engineering, and Full Professor in the Department of Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He is also the General Coordinator for Accreditation and Continuous Improvement of the School of Science and Engineering, leading the accreditation of its programs with CEAB (Canada), ABET (USA), and ICACIT (Peru).

He has experience as a consultant in quality management, statistical process control, data mining, simulation, and optimization. He has served as an evaluator for the National Quality Award.
