ICACIT is an international accreditation agency specialized in undergraduate and graduate programs in STEM and Architecture, with more than 20 years of experience. It is committed to promoting the continuous improvement of educational quality in higher education across Latin America.
Since its establishment, ICACIT has sought to become a key and leading actor in Latin America by promoting accreditation criteria aligned with international standards and rigor for professional programs pursuing academic excellence and the comprehensive, high-quality education of graduates in the STEM and Architecture fields.:
Washington Accord (since 2018)
An international agreement that brings together the world’s leading accreditation agencies specializing in engineering programs.
Sydney Accord (since 2016)
An international agreement that brings together the world’s leading accreditation agencies specializing in engineering technology programs (institutes).
Seoul Accord (since 2022)
An international agreement that brings together the world’s leading accreditation agencies specializing in computing programs
European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education – ENAEE (since 2020)
An organization that brings together accreditation agencies specializing in engineering to promote the quality of engineering education throughout Europe.
The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education – INQAAHE (since 2020)
An international quality assurance body that works closely with national accreditation organizations.
International Federation of Engineering Education Societies – IFEES (since 2019)
A platform that brings together diverse stakeholders interested in engineering education, ranging from quality assurance to engineering education, from pedagogy to the role of technology in the classroom.
Our institution grants the international quality seal known as “ICACIT Accreditation,” which is an audit verifying compliance with international standards established by the Washington Accord and the Sydney Accord of the International Engineering Alliance, the Seoul Accord, the Canberra Accord, and the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education, all of which have been adopted by ICACIT. This accreditation process is conducted for undergraduate and graduate programs offered by higher education institutions.
