He served as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the OpenCourseWare Consortium (2009\u20132013), and as Executive Director of the OCW and Open Education Office at UPM (2008\u20132016). He has been a member of the IEEE Education Society Board of Governors since 2005, served as President in 2021\u20132022, and is currently Junior Past President (2023\u20132024). <br><br>\nHe has been a member of several Standing Committees of the IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB), and is currently a member of the Continuing Education Committee and Chair of the Educational Products Editorial Committee. He has published academic work on these subjects, including the book titled Mechanical Dynamics (Din\u00e1mica Mec\u00e1nica).<\/p> \n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">He has led accreditation processes before the CNA and ABET for various engineering programs and has served as a peer reviewer and consultant for accreditation processes at universities in Colombia and Ecuador. He also served as Regional Director of Education in Piura and Tumbes. His research work includes publications in indexed journals and international presentations on engineering education, professional competencies, and project management.\n<br>\n<br>\nHe is currently Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at UDEP, where he has been a Full Professor since 1989. He also serves as a senior evaluator and Chair of the Engineering Committee at ICACIT, participating in accreditation processes for STEM programs in Peru and abroad. Fue, adem\u00e1s, coordinadora de la Especializaci\u00f3n en Construcci\u00f3n de Software que en 2019 se convirti\u00f3 en la Maestr\u00eda en Ingenier\u00eda de Software (primera completamente virtual de la Universidad) ofrecida a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma Coursera. Sus investigaciones se han centrado en la ingenier\u00eda de software, especialmente en el aumento de la productividad de los grupos de desarrolladores en las organizaciones, manteniendo est\u00e1ndares de alta calidad. <br><br>\n Desde 2020 es la decana de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda.
